Mie Mie's Restaurant

Mie Mie's is a refined Asian-fusion restaurant on the Coffs Harbour Jetty Foreshore at Level 1 of the Vendetta Building, 75 Jordan Esplanade, with coastal outlooks over the waterfront and the marina. It is the sister venue to Latitude 30 next door, and the venue's own story page spells out the pet policy plainly: small dogs are welcome on the outside deck only, and only when the weather is on your side.

The dog setup

Small dogs are permitted on the outside deck, not indoors. The deck opens only when conditions are fine, so wind, rain or a rough sea change can close it and end the plan for that day. Deck space is limited, so call ahead on (02) 6651 6046 and confirm a dog-friendly table when you book rather than arriving hopeful. Bring your own water bowl for a small dog rather than counting on one being set out.

The vibe

This is an elevated feed rather than a casual beachside counter: oysters natural with finger lime nahm jim or a Chinese Kilpatrick with lap cheong, prawn crackers with lime chilli salt, a lemongrass and pineapple tuna ceviche, and a house laksa loaded with king prawns, barramundi and clams. There are vegan plates such as a yellow jackfruit and pineapple curry, and the banana roti with coconut ice cream and tamarind caramel finishes things. Dinner runs Wednesday to Friday from 3pm, with longer sessions Saturday and Sunday lunch, and the kitchen is dark Monday and Tuesday.

Getting there and parking

The Jetty precinct sits at the northern end of the harbour, a few minutes' drive from the Coffs Harbour city centre. A dedicated car park sits beside the building, with street parking along Jordan Esplanade that fills on sunny weekends. The foreshore parklands and marina paths start at the doorstep.

Close by with the dogs

Before lunch, the North Wall Beach off-leash area gives a dog a proper run a short drive up the coast. Next door, the sibling Latitude 30 covers the more relaxed end of the family, Jetty Beach House sits right on the sand, and Hub Cafe Jetty handles the morning coffee run.
