Worth knowing

The kitchen is known for premium marinated meats cooked at your table, plus Korean fried chicken with the snow-cheese and garlic-soy versions the regulars keep ordering, bibimbap in stone bowls and proper banchan sides. Hours split the week: Monday to Wednesday runs dinner only from 5pm, then Thursday through Sunday opens from 11am, with everything closing at 9pm. It suits a group session better than a solo bite.

The address is Shop 5, 152-166 Shore Street West, Cleveland. There is a free on-site carpark plus free street parking nearby, and the entrance is wheelchair accessible, so the car-to-table leg is short even for an older dog.

The Raby Bay foreshore is minutes away, and Raby Bay Dog Beach allows off-lead play on the sand between the groynes, with dogs back on leash through the adjoining parkland and paths. Note the tide, because a high one narrows the beach, and keep clear of the playground zones.
