Putia Pure Food Kitchen

Putia Pure Food Kitchen is a whole-food eatery and pantry at 4/17 Royal Parade, Banyo, directly opposite the Banyo train station on Brisbane's northside. It runs a Southern Mediterranean menu grown partly from its own herb garden, and it makes a genuine effort for dogs: the covered laneway, alfresco tables and front footpath seating are all dog-friendly, with water bowls on hand and a photo board of regular dog guests by the door.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the covered laneway, at the alfresco tables and on the front footpath, leashed and close to your table, clear of the walkway between tables and the counter. Indoor dining stays dog-free. Staff usually bring water bowls out without being asked; on a hot Brisbane morning still bring your own as backup. There are no dog fees.

Worth knowing

The kitchen leans hard into dietary-friendly cooking: a gluten-free breakfast gnocchi with broccoli pesto, pistachio pangrattato and a poached egg is a signature, and there is a vegan summer harvest bowl with sweet potato koftas and roasted garlic hummus. Shakshuka, gnocchi and pork belly are the regular favourites, and turmeric lattes cover the coffee-adjacent crowd. Hours are 7am to 2pm Monday to Thursday and Sunday, and 7am to 9pm Friday and Saturday, so dinner with the dog is possible on weekend nights.

Getting there and parking

The venue sits opposite Banyo station, which makes it one of the easiest train arrivals in the area; from the platform it is a short walk across Royal Parade. Street parking runs along Royal Parade and the surrounding residential streets, and the Sandgate Road bus corridor is nearby if you are leaving the car at home.

Nudgee Recreation Reserve Fenced Dog Park is in the same suburb for an off-lead run, and Tuckeroo Park Fenced Dog Park at Nudgee Beach adds agility equipment and water access about ten minutes away. Back in Banyo, Site Café is another dog-friendly coffee option.
