Site Café Banyo

Site Cafe is a busy neighbourhood cafe on St Vincents Road in Banyo, and it is openly dog-friendly. Dogs are welcome in the covered outdoor courtyard, with water bowls and treats on hand, and it opens from 5:30am weekdays so it suits an early coffee after a walk.

The dog setup

Dogs stay in the covered courtyard, not inside the main dining area. Keep them leashed and settled beside your table, no paws or noses on tables or counters. The cafe keeps dog blankets to keep dogs off the furniture, and staff may ask you to step outside if a dog barks consistently. Water bowls and treats are provided, so you can travel light.

Worth knowing

Locals rate it for breakfast staples: eggs benedict, fritters, raisin toast and banana bread all come up often, with generous portions and the house chilli jam. It runs Nepalese dinners on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, so the day ends later than most cafes. It is casual and can get busy, so a calm, well-behaved dog copes best.

Getting there and parking

The cafe is at 3/272 St Vincents Road. Street parking runs along the road but fills at peak times, so be ready to use nearby side streets. Banyo Station is close by on the Ferny Grove-side line if you would rather arrive by train.

Close by with the dogs

Earnshaw Park is a short walk away for an on-lead leg-stretch, but for real running room Nudgee Recreation Reserve Fenced Dog Park is the local fenced option, with Nudgee Waterhole Reserve also close by. For another stop in the pocket, The Ole Dairy is just up the road.
