Off the Rails Nutrition is a health-food cafe tucked into the small commercial strip on Ash Avenue in Albion Park Rail, a few minutes' walk from the railway station, and dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables.

The dog setup. Dogs are allowed at the outdoor seating only, not inside. Keep your dog on a leash at all times. Ask staff for a water bowl if your dog needs one, there is no dedicated dog station out front.

Getting there. The cafe is at Shop 3/10 Ash Ave, Albion Park Rail. Street parking is easy to find on Ash Avenue and the surrounding commercial precinct, and Albion Park Railway Station is an easy walk if you are coming by train.

Nearby with the dogs. Walk it off along the Lake Illawarra foreshore, a short drive or a fifteen to twenty minute walk away, or head to Croom Road Sporting Complex which has an off-leash area for a proper run.

Good for a coffee-and-smoothie stop before or after a foreshore walk. Go early on weekend mornings, the outdoor tables are small and fill up fast.
