Three Flamingos Espresso

Three Flamingos Espresso runs the morning shift on Terry Street, Albion Park's main strip, and it is the outdoor tables in the middle of the bustle where dogs are welcome. Doors open early and everything wraps up at 2pm, so think of it as a breakfast and lunch stop rather than an all-day one.

The dog setup

Dogs join you at the outdoor seating area, right in the flow of the morning. Staff have a reputation for being friendly and accommodating and will usually sort out water, but bring your own bowl to be safe on busy days. This is a high-traffic, social spot, so it suits dogs that stay settled around foot traffic, prams and other regulars. Keep the lead short and tuck your dog in beside the table rather than in the walkway.

Max: go before 8am on a weekday and you will have the pick of the outdoor tables before the school and coffee rush arrives.

Worth knowing

The kitchen is built around breakfast and lunch. Regulars come back for the coffee, the wraps and toasties, the bacon and egg rolls and the acai bowls, and the carrot cake has its own following. Hours run from 6am on weekdays, 7am on Saturday and 8am on Sunday, with service finishing at 2pm every day. The entrance is step-free, which helps if you have a senior dog or a pram with you.

Getting there and parking

Find it at 136 Terry Street in the centre of town. There is free parking close by and the cafe sits in the middle of the Albion Park strip, so it is an easy walk from most of the suburb's shops and services.

Close by with the dogs

Hive Coffee Co. over at Burdekin Village is the suburb's other dog-friendly coffee stop, and the Albion Park RSL takes dogs in its front alfresco area if you want to turn coffee into lunch. For a proper run before or after, Puppy Play Days and Stays gives dogs somewhere to burn off energy a short drive from the strip.
