Your Mates Brewing Co. pours its own Sunshine Coast beers a few minutes inland from Warana beach, and dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables, which makes it the natural end point for a coastal walk or beach session with the dog.

The dog setup

Dogs join you in the outdoor beer garden and courtyard, where shaded seating keeps things comfortable through the day. Keep them leashed and settled; the space is communal and gets busy, especially when the music starts.

Water bowls are usually around, but bring your own as a backup. Indoors is for people, so plan your visit as an outdoor one.

The vibe

The beer is the headline act: the Larry pale ale and Macca hold the regular taps alongside rotating limited releases, and the kitchen covers burgers, pizzas and sharing plates, with the brisket burger a repeated local mention. Live music and a lively family crowd take over on weekends, so if your dog is noise sensitive, aim for a weekday or an early session before the bands kick in.

Getting there and parking

You will find it at 41 Technology Drive, Warana, with on-site parking plus plenty of street parking through the surrounding industrial streets. Nicklin Way bus stops are a short walk away, and the brewery's website lists current opening hours, which run to 11pm on Friday and Saturday nights and earlier the rest of the week.

Make a day of it

Pair a pint with an earlier session at the Warana dog-friendly beach or a run at the Nicklin Way fenced dog park just down the road. For a longer coastal leg, the Point Cartwright walkway at Buddina is minutes away.
