The Jindalee Hotel

The Jindalee Hotel is a large family pub on Sinnamon Road in Brisbane's Centenary suburbs, with a full bistro, bars and a gaming lounge, and it is the outdoor patio and deck where the dog fits in. It trades seven days from mid morning until late.

The dog setup

Dogs are permitted in the designated outdoor patio, deck and verandah seating only, never inside the bistro, bars or gaming room, with assistance dogs the exception. Keep your dog leashed and beside the table, clear of walkways. Water bowls sometimes appear on the patio but bring a portable one as backup, and ask for an outdoor table when you book if you are coming at peak time.

The vibe

This is a big, family-geared venue: pub classics including schnitzels, rump steak and beef cheeks, live music and screens for major sport, and an indoor/outdoor kids playground that makes a patio lunch an easy family call. Weeknights and weekend afternoons draw the sport crowd, so a quieter lunch sitting suits a dog far better than a packed Saturday evening service.

Getting there

The hotel sits on Sinnamon Road, Jindalee, with large free parking at the rear and wheelchair-accessible entry throughout. It is easiest by car from the Centenary Highway, and the address is well signed from both directions.

While you're out there

Walk it off along the Wilsons Walkway Mt Ommaney Bushland Reserve, which starts nearby and stays on lead, or burn energy first at the Thomas Macleod Park Fenced Dog Park in Sinnamon Park. For daytime coffee, Piggy Back Cafe is the local option.
