The Jindalee Hotel is a large, family-friendly pub on Sinnamon Road with a full bistro, bars and gaming lounge, plus outdoor dining areas where dogs are welcome.

The dog setup. Dogs are generally permitted in the sheltered outdoor patio and decking areas, not inside the main bistro. Keep dogs leashed and beside your table. Water bowls are sometimes out, but a portable bowl is a safe backup. There is no on-site pet accommodation.

Good to know. A classic pub menu, including schnitzels, rump steak, steak sandwiches and beef cheeks, plus live music and screens for major sport. The indoor/outdoor kids' playground makes it an easy stop for the whole family, dog included, on the patio.

Getting there. Sinnamon Rd, Jindalee QLD 4074. Large free parking at the rear of the hotel, and the venue is wheelchair accessible.

Nearby with the dogs. Jindalee Boat Ramp Park and Riverhills Park both offer a riverside walk close by, and Mount Ommaney Creek Parklands is a short drive for more green space.

Confirm which outdoor section is dog-friendly with staff when you arrive, hotel patios can be split between a family area and a bar area with different rules.

Weeknights and weekend afternoons get busy with the sport crowd, so aim for a quieter lunch sitting if your dog prefers less noise.
