Peregian Beach Hotel

The Peregian Beach Hotel is the village's big social venue, a pub, bistro, and events space rolled into one on David Low Way, with wood fired pizza and live music drawing crowds through the week. For dog owners it is the outdoor areas that matter, and the venue spells out exactly how they work.

The venue's own booking page states that well behaved dogs are welcome in the outside areas, kept on a lead, on the ground and off the furniture, and not bothering other guests. That is one of the clearer written policies on the coast, and it makes the ground rules easy: leash stays on, dog settles on the deck, and everyone else's dinner stays undisturbed.

The vibe

The bistro list runs to chicken parmigiana and wood fired pizzas, with snapper on the specials board for the coastal touch, and the outdoor seating absorbs a big part of the trade. Live music nights fill the calendar, and reviews consistently credit the staff, which helps when you are managing a dog in a busy outdoor area. Expect peak-season weekends to be loud and busy, and plan a corner table if your dog prefers quieter corners.

You will find the hotel at 221-229 David Low Way, Peregian Beach, on the eastern edge of the village with parking on site. The village square and its cafes are a few minutes walk, and the beach access paths are close by if the dog needs a proper walk before or after lunch.

Make a day of it

Build the visit around the village: coffee at Hadz Cafe in the morning, the hotel's outdoor deck for lunch, and the beach paths in between.
