Peregian Springs Fenced Dog Park

Peregian Springs Fenced Dog Park sits on The Avenue opposite the duck pond, and it is one of the few spots on this stretch of the Sunshine Coast where the lead can come off entirely. The fully enclosed run carries a genuinely local feel, and the regulars who use it most mornings tend to look out for each other's dogs.

The dog setup

Two interconnected fenced zones hold established gardens, open grassy patches and shaded seating, with a water tap and bowls on site. Entry runs through a double gate: close the first before opening the second so nothing bolts while you are getting set.

The whole area is off lead, but dogs still need to be under effective voice control, and any dog showing aggression should be leashed and taken straight out. Clean up immediately using the bins provided, and supervise children for the whole visit.

Max: the duck pond and playground are right across The Avenue, and dogs stay on lead around both. Do the fenced run first, then clip on for a lap of the boardwalk.

The vibe

This is a neighbourhood park rather than a destination, and the crowd reflects it: locals with a mix of sizes and ages, calm dogs more than hyper ones. The space inside the fence is modest compared with the big regional parks, so it suits a social session rather than a long fetch workout.

The gate is open around the clock. Early mornings are the pick in summer, before the open grass heats up and the shade runs out.

Getting there and parking

The park sits within The Avenue Park at Peregian Springs, with an off-street parking bay off The Avenue plus street parking nearby. Public toilets, undercover picnic tables and BBQs sit by the playground and duck pond end of the reserve.

While you're out there

Coco Cantina and Co is the local coffee stop, and the Stumers Creek dog area at Coolum Beach adds an off-lead creek and beach option a few minutes north. If you want sand time, the Coolum Beach off-leash dog beach runs along the same stretch of coast.
