Boundary Island Brewery is an award-winning waterfront brewery on Marina Quay in Erskine, looking straight over the Peel estuary. It is a big, family-friendly venue with a wood-fired pizza oven and its own Texan-style smoker, and dogs are welcome on lead in the outdoor waterfront seating.

Dog access and setup. Dogs are permitted on lead in the outdoor area, which has plenty of seating and marina views. They are not permitted in the indoor dining and bar areas. Water bowls are sometimes out for dogs, but bring your own portable bowl to be safe, especially on a warm day by the water.

Known for. Multi-award-winning beers, including the Deckie IPA and Estuary Ale XPA, plus a menu that runs from wood-fired pizza to a full Texan smoker. There is also a large kids' playground on site (the Esmerelda crayboat), so it is a genuinely family and dog friendly stop together.

Getting there and parking. The brewery is at 40 Marina Quay Drive, Erskine, with ample public parking next to the venue. It is also accessible by boat, with docking at Marina Quay, or on foot via the estuary walkways from the surrounding Erskine and Mandurah foreshore.

Nearby with the dogs. The estuary foreshore path directly out front is ideal for a walk before or after your table, and it is a short drive from the main Mandurah foreshore and its dog-friendly walking areas. Mandurah Quay Resort, a pet-friendly stay, is right next door if you are making a weekend of it.

Keep your dog on lead the whole visit, this is a busy waterfront venue with a kids' playground and boat traffic close by, not a spot to let the lead go slack.

Weekday lunches are calmer than weekend afternoons, when the outdoor area and playground both fill up fast. Good for a relaxed lead-on lunch by the water, less so if your dog is nervous around crowds or boats.
