What visitors mention
Victoria Park Community Dog Park is a fully fenced off-leash park on Koroit Street, opposite the Warrnambool Showgrounds and within walking distance of the town centre. The draw is a large, fenced grassed run with shade trees and basic agility gear, all close to the CBD.
The rules. The whole park is off-leash, but dogs must stay under effective voice control. It is fully fenced, though some visitors report the outer gates do not always latch cleanly, so check the gate behind you and keep an eye on dogs near the Koroit Street side. There is no separate small or timid dog area, so manage introductions yourself and read the play. Pick up after your dog and use the bins provided.
What's there. The space is generous with established trees for shade, seating for owners, basic agility equipment, a water supply for dogs and barbecues. The surface is well-kept grass that turns muddy after rain.
Getting there. The park is at 360 Koroit Street. Street parking runs along Koroit Street and the surrounding streets, and the park is an easy walk from central Warrnambool with local buses stopping nearby.
Nearby with the dogs. Several dog-friendly cafes are close by for afterwards, including Simon's Waterfront and Proudfoots By The River, both with outdoor seating and water views. For a stay, BIG4 Tasman Holiday Parks has pet-friendly sites near the CBD.

When to go. Weekend mornings and weekday late afternoons are the social peak. For a quieter run, mid-morning on a weekday is calmer. After winter rain the grass gets muddy, so pack a towel. Good for confident, social dogs who enjoy a busy off-leash crowd.
