Victoria Park Community Dog Park

Victoria Park Community Dog Park is a fully fenced off-leash park on Koroit Street, Warrnambool, opposite the showgrounds and an easy walk from the town centre. The draw is a generous grassed run under established shade trees, with basic agility gear and space that few coastal town parks match.

The dog setup

The whole park is off-leash, with dogs under effective voice control while inside the fence. The community-run setup includes seating for owners, agility equipment, a dog water supply and barbecues, and the well-kept grass surface turns muddy after rain, so bring towels in winter. There is no separate small or timid dog yard, so manage introductions yourself and read the room before releasing a smaller dog into a full park.

Worth knowing

Some visitors report the outer gates do not always latch cleanly, so check the gate behind you every time and keep an eye on dogs near the Koroit Street side. Pick up waste and use the bins provided. Being close to the CBD means the park sees steady foot traffic rather than being a quiet edge-of-town option.

Pepsi: big shaded run five minutes from the main street, which makes it the best-value dog stop in Warrnambool. Just double-check that gate latch on your way in.

Getting there

The park is at 360 Koroit Street, with street parking along Koroit Street and the surrounding blocks. Warrnambool's rail station and town centre are both walkable, and the showgrounds opposite make the location easy to find.

Make a day of it

Koroit Dog Park is the option a few minutes north if you are coming from that side. Afterwards, Rough Diamond in town and Beaches Cafe and Bar at Flagstaff Hill both welcome dogs at outdoor tables. If you are staying overnight, the Surfside Holiday Park takes dogs.
