Moss Road Park's fenced dog park is a dedicated off-leash enclosure within the wider Moss Road Park on Watervale Parade, Wakerley. Inside the fence, registered dogs run off-leash under effective voice control per Brisbane City Council rules. Declared dangerous dogs and females in season are not permitted, and owners must stay attentive with the dog in sight even inside the enclosure.

The double-gated entry stops dogs slipping out while the first gate opens, and inside there is agility equipment, a water fountain for dogs and owners, shaded seating, and grassed open space. Bag bins are on site, though carrying your own spares is sensible, and public toilets sit in the broader park.

The vibe

It is a suburban neighbourhood park rather than a destination, which is exactly what locals want: quick access, secure fencing, and enough equipment to break up a routine walk. Supervise children around the gear and the dogs, as the enclosure is shared space.

Pepsi: the agility equipment makes this a good pick if your dog gets bored with just running laps. It is not a full training course, but enough to add variety to a regular walk.

The park sits on Watervale Parade with straightforward access from Wakerley and Gumdale, and street parking is available nearby. Brisbane City Council buses run along Tilley Road and Manly Road with a short walk from the closest stop.

Close by with the dogs

If the enclosure is crowded, the surrounding park is open for an on-lead walk, and Sheriff Park's fenced dog park is the other Wakerley option. For coffee, Grumpy & Lovely Cafe and The Hide Green Cafe are both dog-friendly drives of five to ten minutes.
