Webster Road Park Fenced Dog Park

Webster Road Park at 422 Webster Road is the low-key half of Stafford Heights' fenced dog park pair. It is a simple, fully fenced yard open around the clock, and it sits a few minutes from the busier Grey Gum Park on Rode Road. Some maps blur the two together, so check the address before you drive; if you are heading for the skatepark end of the reserve, this is not it.

The dog setup

The off-leash yard is a single fenced enclosure rather than a split big and small dog setup. Secure fencing runs the whole perimeter, with benches and bins inside, and the gate discipline is the usual council standard: dogs off-leash only inside the fence, back on the leash everywhere else in the parkland, under effective voice control the whole time, and any dog getting aggressive gets leashed and taken out.

Water is the gap to plan around. A tap inside the yard is not something you can count on, so carry a bottle and a bowl, and keep an eye on dark-coated dogs once the morning shade thins out. The tree cover here is patchy through the middle of the day.

The vibe

This is a neighbourhood yard, and it behaves like one. It rarely gets rowdy, weekend mornings stay manageable, and weekday mornings are usually quiet enough for nervous dogs or new arrivals still working out park manners. Plenty of locals use it as the fallback when Grey Gum is packed, or as the regular spot for dogs that find big busy parks overwhelming. The skatepark next door keeps the broader reserve lively on weekends, but the dog yard sits far enough away that it stays calm.

Max: Simple is the word. Fence, gate, bench, bin. I bring water for both of us because the tap situation is unreliable, and I skip midday in summer when the shade gives out.

The Grey Gum Park Fenced Dog Park on Rode Road has separate big and small dog areas if you want more space and facilities, and the Bradbury Park Fenced Dog Park in Kedron is a few minutes south.
