Clifton Park Fenced Dog Park(Sanctuary Point)

Clifton Park is a fully fenced, 24-hour off-leash dog park on Clifton Street in the heart of Sanctuary Point. The draw is simple: a large grassy run secured by a double-gate airlock, so you can let a dog off the lead without worrying about the road.

The rules. This is an off-leash zone, but your dog still has to be under the control of a competent person at all times. Watch-outs. The ground turns to mud fast after heavy rain, and the grass upkeep can be patchy, so keep a towel in the boot. With no small-dog section, nervous or tiny dogs are better off visiting at a quiet time.

Nearby with the dogs. The Basin Foreshore Walk gives you an on-lead path between Paradise Beach and Palm Beach if the dog still has energy to burn.

When to go. It is busiest Saturday mornings, Monday mornings and weekday afternoons. For elbow room and a calmer play group, aim for a Sunday afternoon, a Wednesday afternoon or a Friday morning. Good for social dogs who want a real run.
