Edwards Park Fenced Dog Park

Edwards Park Fenced Dog Park is a fully fenced, 24-hour dog exercise area at 26 Wittenoom Street in Piccadilly, a residential pocket close to downtown Kalgoorlie. The standout feature is two segregated grassed zones, which let you match the space to your dog's size, energy and confidence.

The dog setup

Two fully enclosed gated pens run irrigated grass underfoot, with water troughs for mid-session rehydration and agility and obstacle equipment that gives working breeds something constructive to burn through. City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder rules apply: stay in the park with your dog, keep it under effective control, and leash up for the transition in and out.

Bags and bins are provided and cleanup is mandatory. The dual-zone design only works if people use it properly, so scope out both enclosures before opening the gate and keep timid or new dogs in the quieter pen.

Worth knowing

Some users report the perimeter fencing runs low in places, so this is not an escape-proof option for a proven jumper or climber. Run a boundary check before unclipping and stay alert near the fenceline.

Lighting makes evening visits workable once the Goldfields heat drops, and the busiest windows are Sunday, Monday and Friday evenings plus Saturday and Sunday mornings. Weekday afternoons and late nights Tuesday to Thursday are usually quietest.

Max: a fence is only as good as your recall. Low sections mean high-jumpers can clear them if they decide to give chase, so supervise actively and check the boundary before you let your dog off-leash.

The park sits at the corner of Piccadilly Street and Arthur Street on Wittenoom Street, with street and dedicated parking bays directly alongside.
