Discovery Parks Kalgoorlie Goldfields is a large holiday park at 286 Burt Street in Boulder, on the edge of the Kalgoorlie-Boulder townsite. It is the most flexible dog option in town if you are towing a van: dogs are welcome on designated powered and unpowered sites and in selected pet-friendly cabins, with a camp kitchen, pool and barbecue area for the humans.

Dogs at the park

Dogs go on the pet-friendly category of sites and in a limited number of pet-friendly cabins, so you must nominate your dog when you book rather than turning up with one and hoping. Sites are generous, with grass and slab pads and drive-through options for bigger rigs, and guest reviews consistently call out the camp kitchen and barbecue area. One recurring gripe worth checking at booking: some cabins have no air-conditioning in the bedroom, which matters in a Goldfields summer when days push past 35 degrees.

Off the leash nearby

Inside the park the leash stays on, but a short drive takes you to the South Boulder Dog Exercise Area for a proper run. Back at the park, the Cafe Dharma in Boulder township is a breakfast option, and Burt Street puts shops and fuel within reach.
