Edenbrook Dog Park

Edenbrook Dog Park is a fully fenced off-leash area sitting inside the wider Edenbrook wetlands and playground precinct in Pakenham. The fencing and double-gate entry are the reason to come here over an open reserve: it is an enclosed run where you can let a dog off the lead without worrying about roads or a poor recall.

The rules. Dogs are off-leash inside the fenced enclosure only. The moment you step out into the surrounding wetlands or near the playground, they go back on lead. Carry a lead at all times and keep your dog under voice control inside the run.

What's there. The enclosure is fully fenced with a double-gate airlock so dogs cannot bolt as people come and go. There is plenty of open space adjacent for a longer on-lead walk through the wetlands. Note that some visitors report no water tap inside the fenced area, so bring your own water and bowl.

Getting there. The entrance is on Victory Drive, with accessible street parking right alongside. By car, come off the Princes Highway, turn into Ryan Road and follow the signs towards the Edenbrook estate. Pakenham Station is the nearest train stop but you will want a rideshare or connecting bus to reach the estate.

It is busiest on weekday evenings and Sunday mornings. If your dog prefers fewer companions in the run, an early weekday morning is the calmest window. Good for a quick, safe off-leash burn close to home rather than a long outing.
