Edenbrook Dog Park

Edenbrook Dog Park is a fully fenced off-leash run inside the Edenbrook wetlands and playground precinct in Pakenham, with its entrance on Victory Drive. The double-gate airlock and full enclosure are the reason to pick it over an open reserve: a dog with patchy recall gets a safe burn without roads to worry about.

The dog setup

The enclosure is fully fenced with a self-closing double gate, and open space runs alongside for a longer on-lead walk afterwards. Visitors report no water tap inside the fence, so bring your own water and bowl on warm days, and carry bags since the bins handle the rest.

The rules

Off lead applies inside the enclosure only. Under Cardinia Shire Council rules you stay within sight of your dog and under effective control, dogs must be council registered, and the lead goes straight back on in the surrounding wetlands, where leashes are capped at three metres. An aggressive or harassing dog gets leashed and removed immediately.

Pepsi: the wetland loop out the fence line is the bonus round. Black swans nest here, so a dog that loves chasing birds needs a short lead on that part.

Getting there

Come off the Princes Highway into Ryan Road and follow the signs toward the Edenbrook estate, with accessible street parking right alongside the Victory Drive entrance. Pakenham Station is the nearest train stop, but you will want a connecting bus or rideshare for the last stretch, so driving is the practical option for most visitors.

The wetland walking loop circles the precinct and links toward the Cardinia Aqueduct Trail for a longer on-lead outing. More fenced runs sit close by in the Don Jackson Reserve Fenced Dog Park and the Greenfield Lane Fenced Dog Park, and Nancy Eatery on Mulcahy Road is the local dog-friendly brunch stop.
