This is the off-leash area at Dunns Road Reserve in Mount Martha, the open grassy reserve that surrounds the fenced agility park at its northern end. It gives dogs space to run on a flat, central reserve close to the village.

The rules. Dogs are permitted off-leash in the designated parts of the reserve and must be under effective voice control. Unlike the fenced enclosure at the northern end, the wider reserve is open, so this area suits dogs with solid recall; if your dog is still learning, use the adjacent fenced park instead. Clean up after your dog using the bins provided.

What is there. On-site parking sits beside the reserve, with public toilets nearby and a tap and water near the fenced section. Bench seating is available.

Getting there. Access is via Hearn Road off the Nepean Highway, with a car park at the reserve. It is easiest reached by car.

When to go. Weekday mid-mornings are the calmest. If the open reserve feels busy or your dog needs a boundary, the fenced agility park alongside is the safer choice.
