Emerald Hills Dog Park

Emerald Hills Dog Park is a fully fenced, off-leash park on Leslie Way in Leppington, serving the Emerald Hills estate and surrounding streets. It is open 24 hours and split into two separate fenced sections, one for large dogs and one for small or timid dogs, so you can pick the right space before you let the lead go.

The rules. Dogs can run off-leash only inside the fenced pens, and owners need to keep them under control and in sight at all times. Bring your own poo bags as backup even though bins and bags are provided on-site, and make sure your dog is fully vaccinated before a first visit, since it is a shared, high-traffic space.

What's there. Each pen uses a double-gate entry system so dogs cannot slip out while you're getting organised. Getting there. The park sits at Leslie Way, Leppington NSW 2179, reached via Camden Valley Way to Raby Road or Emerald Hills Boulevard. Free street parking runs along Leslie Way right in front of the park. Leppington Station is the nearest train stop but it is a 25 to 30 minute walk, so driving is the practical option.

Nearby. The area around the park is mostly residential, with Emerald Hills Shopping Village a short trip away for water or supplies. For coffee or a meal afterwards, check current dog-friendly listings in Edmondson Park and Leppington, as options are still growing with the estate.

Weekday mornings, especially Mondays, and late afternoons tend to be the busiest. Mid-morning or mid-afternoon on weekdays is quieter if you want the pen to yourselves. On hot days, aim for a cooler part of the day given the limited shade in the small dog section.
