Lloyd Park is a 20 hectare sporting and recreation reserve on Pindara Boulevard in Langwarrin, with a designated off-leash zone tucked into the north-east corner while the rest of the park stays on-leash around the ovals, pavilion and courts.
The rules. Off-leash is permitted only in the north-east section along Pindara Boulevard. Everywhere else, including near the western ovals, the pavilion, tennis and netball courts, and along Cranbourne-Frankston Road, dogs must stay on-leash. Within 10 metres of any organised sport, barbecue or picnic area, leash up regardless of location. Greyhounds must stay on-leash throughout. Pick up after your dog.
What's there. Open grass and scattered trees in the off-leash corner, two playgrounds elsewhere in the park, and toilets near the western oval. Water taps sit over near the western oval too, not in the off-leash zone itself, so bring a bowl if you are heading straight there.
Getting there. Enter via Pindara Boulevard, just off Cranbourne-Frankston Road, where parking is straightforward. Buses run along Cranbourne-Frankston Road but it is a short walk from the nearest stop to the off-leash corner.
Nearby with the dogs. A few cafes with outdoor seating sit in the Gateway Shopping Centre on Cranbourne-Frankston Road, an easy stop before or after a run around.

When to go. Weekend mornings and the after-school rush from about 3:30pm are the busiest windows, especially when local sport is on. Weekday mid-morning is quieter and gives dogs the most open room to run. The lower ground can turn boggy after heavy rain.
