Lammermoor Dog park

Olive Dorey Park at 501 Clayton Road, Lammermoor is the designated off-leash dog park for the Capricorn Coast, about five minutes south of Yeppoon. Its three separate fenced sections make it the most structured dog exercise space in the region, letting small and large dogs run at the same time without crowding.

The dog setup

The park is split into three fenced areas, so you can match the space to your dog's size and confidence rather than gambling on one shared run. Livingstone Shire Council's rules apply: stay inside with your dog, keep it under effective control even within the fence, and remove any dog showing aggression.

Clean up after your dog and use the waste stations provided. Leash up between the car park and the gate, as the approach paths are shared with families using the rest of the park.

Max: the smaller sections fill first on weekend mornings. If you have a young dog that needs space to sprint rather than socialise, the far gate is usually the quiet one.

What you'll find

Agility equipment sits in designated sections for dogs that enjoy a structured workout, and mature trees keep the grassed areas cool across the park. For owners there are public toilets, BBQs and a picnic area within the grounds, with an adjacent playground for families.

Getting there

The park is on Clayton Road in Lammermoor, just off the Scenic Highway on the Capricorn Coast, with a dedicated car park providing plenty of spaces. It is an easy detour between Yeppoon and the southern beaches, so it pairs naturally with a coastal day out.

While you're out there

For a base nearby, Poinciana Tourist Park in Yeppoon is a pet-friendly option. Before or after the run, Chapter is one of the Yeppoon cafes that welcomes dogs.
