Chapter is a specialty coffee cafe with a bookshop feel on Hill Street, one street back from the Yeppoon beachfront. It is widely rated for some of the best coffee in town, and dogs are welcome at the sidewalk seating out front, which makes it an easy stop on the way to or from the beach.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor footpath tables along Hill Street. The indoor space is cosy and dogs are kept to the outside seating. Staff are friendly, but bring your own water bowl as there is nothing dog-specific set up here.

Good to know. The focus is specialty coffee, with local milk sourced from the Rockhampton region and treats from local suppliers. Expect an industrial fit-out and a metropolitan feel rather than a big menu, so this is a coffee-and-a-bite stop.

Getting there. Find it at 2/32-34 Hill Street, parallel to the beachfront promenade. Street parking is available on Hill Street and nearby side streets but fills through the morning and lunch rush.

Nearby with the dogs. Yeppoon Main Beach and the foreshore are one street away, so a pre- or post-coffee on-leash walk along the water is easy to fit in.

When to go. Arrive mid-morning outside the peak for the best chance at a footpath table and easy parking. Good for coffee-focused owners who want quality over a long menu.
