What visitors mention
Faulkner Park's fenced dog park at 80 Waratah Ave is a proper off-leash setup: two separate grassy enclosures for big and small dogs, agility equipment, and river views along the Brisbane River, open 24 hours a day, every day.
The rules. The fenced area is off-leash, but dogs still need to be under effective voice control since it's shared space with other dogs and owners. Pick up after your dog (bins are provided), and use the double-gated entry properly, closing one gate before opening the other, so nobody's dog slips out while you're arriving or leaving.
What's there. Small and large dogs get their own fenced zones, so a nervous or tiny dog isn't dodging boisterous larger ones. There's agility equipment to burn off energy, water stations, shaded seating for owners, and it backs onto a playground, basketball court and netball courts, useful if you've got kids in tow as well as the dog.
Getting there. The park has on-site parking, and it's an easy walk if you're local. It's also close to Sherwood train station and on local bus routes, so it's a realistic no-car option for Graceville and Sherwood residents.

Nearby with the dogs. A handful of Graceville cafes with dog-friendly footpath seating, including Ananas Espresso, Fraiche Deli and Honour Espresso, are a short drive or walk away for a coffee after the park.
When to go. Weekends and mornings are the busiest window. For a quieter run, aim for weekday afternoons or evenings, when it's mostly locals and a lot more room to let a big dog properly stretch its legs. Good for both nervous small dogs and big runners, since the two zones keep them apart.
