Glenburn Recreation Reserve

Glenburn Recreation Reserve on the Melba Highway is a rural recreation ground with a fenced playground, handy as a leg-stretch for dogs on a drive through the Yarra Valley foothills.

Lead rules

Murrindindi Shire Council requires dogs on a lead in public council reserves unless an area is signed otherwise, so keep your dog clipped on here.

What's here

There is no formal walking track, just grass and gravel around the recreation ground, with some shade from mature trees on the edges. Park beside the grounds off the highway.

Bins and water for dogs are not confirmed, so bring both bags and a bowl.

When to go

Pull in when no community sport is on and the ground is quiet. It works best as a short break on a longer road trip.
