Rosebank Park

Rosebank Park is a small off-leash pocket park on Farrell Avenue in Darlinghurst, tucked just off Darlinghurst Road near Kings Cross. It is a City of Sydney green space that works as a quick, close-to-home run for inner-city dogs rather than a destination in its own right.

The rules. The park is a designated off-leash area 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is unfenced and open to the street, so your dog needs to be under effective control and reliable on recall. Owners must pick up after their dogs.

What's there. A small open lawn on an elevated grass patch, with a bench to sit on. Facilities are minimal, so bring your own water and waste bags in case none are stocked.

Getting there. It sits at 5 to 15 Farrell Avenue, a short walk from Kings Cross Station. Street parking nearby is limited and mostly metered, so walking in is the easier option.

When to go. It gets busiest early morning and again from around 5pm to 7pm with the after-work crowd. Because the lawn is small, a mid-morning or early-afternoon visit is calmer, better for shy dogs who would rather not share a tight space.
