Camberwell Fenced Dog Park is the fenced off-leash play area within Gordon Barnard Reserve, near Aminya Place and Cookson Street, managed by the City of Boroondara. It gives Camberwell dogs a properly enclosed space to run without the recall worries of an open reserve.

The rules. Keep your dog on-lead until inside the fenced area, then supervise it and respond promptly to voice or hand commands. Boroondara caps it at two dogs per person, requires you to fill in any holes dug, bans human food in the area, and asks owners to keep dogs off the adjacent sporting oval whenever a match or training session is on. The park is closed Thursdays from 7:00am to 8:30am for maintenance.

What's there. Secure perimeter fencing for off-leash play, plus the broader reserve's paths and open space if you want a longer walk afterwards.

Getting there. Access is via Aminya Place or Cookson Street, off Barnsbury Road, Camberwell. Street parking is available around the reserve.

If the fenced area is full or you fancy a change, Cooper Reserve, Fairmont Avenue Reserve, Highfield Park and Lynden Park are other Boroondara off-leash spots within a short drive.

Confirm current hours and any temporary closures on the Boroondara Council site before you go, since maintenance windows can shift. Good for dogs that need a secure, fully fenced run rather than an open field.
