The dog setup

Inside the fence there is open grass, a water tap with bowls and poo bag dispensers, though packing your own bags as backup is smart because the dispenser does not always keep up. Dogs must stay on leash through the general reserve and go off-leash only inside the enclosure, where owners need to stay within supervising distance and keep their dogs under effective control. Council rules cap handlers at four dogs each, and dangerous or restricted dogs are excluded from off-leash areas. The entrance and car park sit at 51 Wilson Road, just off Elizabeth Drive in Bonnyrigg Heights in Sydney's southwest. There is dedicated on-site parking, and bus routes along Elizabeth Drive and Aplin Road leave you a short walk away if you are not driving.

Make a day of it
