The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the footpath and alfresco seating out front, on lead beside the table; indoors stays for diners without dogs. Water bowls are usually offered and the staff have a friendly reputation with visiting dogs, though on a busy weekend brunch run it is worth bringing your own just in case. If the outdoor seats are taken, check with staff before committing, since the footpath strip is the dog option here.

Worth knowing

The kitchen leans to creative Asian-inspired plates: corn fritters, beef massaman and eggs benedict all get ordered, with gluten-free options and house-made muffins alongside. The Zest coffee is a consistent talking point. Hours are 6am to 2pm on weekdays and 6:30am to 12:30pm on weekends, so early birds are well served here and the kitchen wraps up around lunchtime.

Getting there and parking

On-street parking runs along Bay Terrace and the side streets, and it is an easy walk if you are already down on the bayside. The Wynnum foreshore is a short walk away for an on-lead stroll along the water, and the fenced Elanora Park Fenced Dog Park is a quick trip north for a proper off-lead run. Frenchies Cafe is the other dog-friendly coffee stop on the strip if the tables are full.
