Good chat coffee co

A small, relaxed community cafe at 4/277 Rode Road, Wavell Heights, in a local shop strip. It is a genuine early bird, open Mon to Sat from 5:30am and usually wrapping up late morning, and it is well set up for dogs.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating, with water bowls put out; inside is people only. It draws a friendly crowd, including the Chermside Run Club, who often turn up with dogs in tow, so your dog will be in good company.

Good to know. Coffee is Clandestino, and the food leans toasties, bacon and egg muffins and homemade sweets. Go early, given the late-morning close.

Getting there. Street parking runs along Rode Road and the surrounding residential streets. It is an easy walk-in for locals out with the dog.

Nearby with the dogs. Kedron Brook and its walking routes are a short drive away for a longer, off-leash outing after coffee.
