Garden Terrace Cafe

Garden Terrace Cafe is the cafe inside the Flower Power garden centre at 20-22 Macpherson Street, Warriewood, and it is the calm option among the suburb's dog-friendly cafes: an undercover terrace wrapped in nursery greenery, well away from the beachfront bustle. Dogs are welcome, and they can even walk the outdoor nursery rows with you.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome on the outdoor undercover terrace, and leashed dogs can come with you through the outdoor sections of the nursery, which makes the visit more of a wander than a sit-down. Access is flat and easy. Water bowls are often out, but pack your own to be safe. It suits nervous or older dogs who prefer a quiet courtyard to a crowd.

The vibe

The steak sandwich and chicken wrap are the review favourites, with all-day breakfast running alongside lunch and a bit of care going into the food presentation. It trades 8am to 4pm, seven days. One honest caveat: service can slow when the nursery is busy, so allow extra time on weekends. Mid-morning on a weekday is the sweet spot, when the terrace is at its most relaxed.

Getting there

The Flower Power car park is large, free and onsite, which makes this the easiest parking of any dog-friendly cafe in Warriewood. Buses stop nearby on Garden Street.

Close by with the dogs

Warriewood Beach is a short drive east for an on-leash path walk, and Four Beans & Co is close by in the business precinct if you want a second coffee, with Sunrise Cafe another local option.
