Garden Terrace Cafe is the cafe inside the Flower Power garden centre at 20-22 Macpherson Street, Warriewood, and it is the calm option among the suburb's dog-friendly cafes - an undercover terrace surrounded by the nursery's greenery, with room to settle a dog beside the table.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome on the outdoor undercover terrace, and they can walk with you through the outdoor sections of the nursery. Access is flat and easy. Water bowls are often out, but pack your own to be safe.

Good to know. The steak sandwich and chicken wrap are the review favourites, with all-day breakfast running alongside lunch. It trades roughly 8am to 4pm, seven days. Service can slow when the nursery is busy, so allow extra time on weekends.

Getting there. The Flower Power car park is large, free and onsite - the easiest parking of any dog-friendly cafe in Warriewood. Buses stop nearby on Garden Street.

Nearby with the dogs. Warriewood Beach is a short drive east for a path walk, and Four Beans & Co is close by in the business precinct if you want a second coffee.

The Warriewood Wetlands walk is nearby, but council signs it as a wildlife protection area, so leave the dog behind for that one and stick to the nursery rows instead.

Mid-morning on a weekday is the sweet spot. Good for nervous or older dogs who prefer a quiet courtyard to a beachfront crowd.
