Kaltiva Coffee Roasters

Kaltiva Coffee Roasters is a boutique micro-roastery in Unit 1/46 Conquest Way, Wangara, and one of the more dog-welcoming coffee stops in Perth's northern industrial belt. Dogs are reportedly allowed inside as well as at the outdoor seating, which is unusual for a food venue and genuinely handy on a hot or wet day.

The dog setup

Inside-and-outside access means your dog does not have to wait tethered in the sun while you order, but this is a working roastery rather than a big cafe, so keep your dog settled and out of the way of the roasting and brewing gear. Bring your own water bowl just in case.

The vibe

The draw is coffee roasted on site by baristas who know their stuff, with good pastries alongside, including ham and cheese croissants. If you are into your beans you can buy them fresh here too. It is low-key and quick rather than a lingering brunch destination, and the morning crowd is mostly locals on a coffee run or workers from the surrounding estate. Weekday mornings are busiest, so a Saturday visit or a mid-morning weekday slot is the relaxed option.

Getting there

The roastery sits in the Wangara industrial estate with free on-site parking plus ample street parking around it. Opening hours run 7am to 2pm on weekdays and 8am to midday Saturdays, and it is closed Sundays, so plan your dog-and-coffee run around the morning window.

Close by with the dogs

Nook & Co. Cafe in the same estate is the bigger brunch option with dog-friendly outdoor seating, and Motorbean is another roastery-style stop in Wangara. For a walk afterwards, Edgar Griffiths Dog Park in Wanneroo is a short drive north.
