Moes Munch Box

Moes Munch Box sits at 53 Northlink Place in Virginia's industrial pocket on Brisbane's northside, and it is a workday cafe through and through: doors open at 5am, everything closes by 3pm, and weekends are off. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating, which makes it a handy stop for tradies and delivery drivers whose dogs ride along, or anyone passing through with the dog in the ute.

The food

Moe, the chef behind the counter, has more than two decades of kitchen experience, and the menu shows it. The combos carry the day: the Southern Fried Chicken Burger Combo with chips and a drink, and the Hamburger with the Lot. Rotating specials have included bangers and mash, and the cabinet runs to fresh breakfast, pies and quick bites. There is a solid vegetarian and vegan selection, smoothies alongside the barista coffee, and reviews regularly single out the generous portions and the food selection for a cafe this size.

Getting there and parking

Northlink Place runs off Sandgate Road at Virginia, with on-site parking directly out front, so arriving by car with a dog is straightforward. The cafe is open 5am to 3pm Monday to Friday and closed Saturday and Sunday, and the 5am open makes it one of the earliest coffee stops in the area.
