The room is small and unpretentious, the coffee is smooth and reliable, and the outdoor corner tables facing Taylor Street are where dogs are welcome.

Cakes and sweet slices sit in the cabinet, and reviews repeatedly mention the friendly, unhurried service. Hours are Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm, Saturday and Sunday 7am to 1pm.

Close by with the dogs

For a secure run, the Wilsonton Heights dog park on Clearview Street is fully fenced with undercover seating and a water tap, a few minutes' drive away.
