Soley's On The Creek is the kiosk inside Boambee Creek Reserve, right by the playground and the shaded creek bank. It is a grab-a-burger-and-sit-by-the-water kind of stop, and dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables around it.

The dog setup. Seating is all outdoors, under trees along the reserve, so dogs are fine on a lead at the tables. The reserve itself allows leashed dogs, but keep a firm hold near the playground and any fenced-off flora sections.

Good to know. It is a casual takeaway kiosk rather than a sit-down cafe: burgers, fish and chips, breakfast rolls, milkshakes and a solid cake selection. Picnic tables and BBQs are dotted through the reserve if you want to make a longer stop of it. Closed Mondays, open from 8am the rest of the week.

Getting there. It's at 20 Sawtell Rd, Toormina, inside Boambee Creek Reserve, with parking in the reserve car park.

Nearby with the dogs. The Boambee Creek off-leash lead area is a short walk away for a paddle after lunch.

a shaded creek-side table after a splash in the shallows is about as good as it gets, ask for a water bowl at the kiosk window.

Go mid-morning on a weekday if you want the picnic tables to yourself, weekends fill up fast with families using the playground and BBQs.
