Bliss On Riverside

Bliss On Riverside is a modern Australian brunch cafe at 101/197 King Arthur Terrace in Tennyson, sitting directly on the banks of the Brisbane River next to Ken Fletcher Park. The reason dog owners put it on a list is the outdoor space: a riverside terrace and a shaded garden deck, both roomy enough that several dogs can share the area without anyone feeling cornered. It opens seven days from 7:30am, serving until early afternoon.

Dogs are welcome on the outdoor riverside terrace and the shaded garden deck. Staff keep water bowls on hand and expect dogs to stay leashed, close to the table and well mannered. Indoors is off limits except for service dogs, so this is an outdoor-table venue in every sense, and on the deck the river does most of the entertaining.

Worth knowing

The brunch menu runs from eggs benedict and smashed avocado to acai bowls and Belgian waffles, with gluten-free and plant-based options treated as menu staples rather than afterthoughts. Coffee is specialty espresso, and the venue also caters private functions. The Brisbane River path runs right outside the fence, so a walk before or after the table is built into the visit.

Getting there and parking

Street parking is available along King Arthur Terrace, and Yeerongpilly station is about two kilometres away if you are coming by train. Weekends fill the terrace fast, so an early arrival is the difference between a river table and a wait.

Close by with the dogs

For a proper off-leash run, Hyde Road Park Fenced Dog Park in Yeronga and Fairfield Park Fenced Dog Park are both a short drive up the river. If you want another dog-friendly coffee stop on the way home, M.Y. Roasting Cafe in Yeronga is a solid option.
