Mine sits in the Duke Street village square at Shop 6/48-54 Duke Street, an easy brunch stop in the heart of Sunshine Beach. Its street-level patio spills into the square, which makes it a comfortable spot to bring a dog.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor patio and footpath seating, on lead beside your table. The indoor area is off-limits to dogs under Queensland food-safety rules, as at most cafes. The open, street-side layout makes it easy to keep a dog settled next to you. Bring your own water bowl.

Good to know. Reviewers rate the sourdough toasties, poached eggs, acai bowls, chia pudding, croissants and avocado toast, along with the well-designed space. It opens early, so it works before or after a morning walk.

Getting there and parking. Street parking is on Duke Street and the surrounding residential streets. It gets busy on weekend mornings, so aim early or be prepared to wait for a spot.

Nearby with the dogs. The ocean is a short walk from Duke Street, with the off-leash northern end of Sunshine Beach nearby. Check Noosa Council signage for current off-leash areas and times before unclipping.
