What visitors mention
Harry and Lola's is a waterfront cafe inside the Multi-Arts Pavilion at Speers Point, a few steps from the fenced off-leash dog park, and one of the most consistently dog-friendly stops on this stretch of Lake Macquarie.
The dog setup. Dogs are welcome on the covered deck and outdoor seating overlooking the water, kept on a lead. Complimentary picnic blankets are laid out on the surrounding grass if the deck is full, and staff put out water bowls along with healthy treats for dogs that stop by.
Known for. Toasties, in-house baking and lake views draw the regulars, and the cafe runs a paw of fame feature wall, staff photograph dog visitors for the display. It is an easy pitstop straight after a play at the off-leash park next door.
Getting there. The cafe is at 96 Creek Reserve Road, Speers Point, inside Speers Point Park and right on the foreshore cycleway. Free public parking is available in the park's lot on Creek Reserve Road. It is open Tuesday to Friday 7.30am to 2pm and weekends 7am to 2pm, closed Mondays.
Nearby with the dogs. The Speers Point fenced dog park is a short walk away for an off-leash run, and the lake foreshore path runs directly past the cafe for a stroll before or after.
