Little Angelo

Little Angelo is a compact corner cafe at 53 Angelo Street, South Perth, and one of the friendlier stops on the strip for dogs: outdoor tables, relaxed staff and a reputation for making a fuss of four-legged regulars. It is a small venue with a big local following, so timing matters on weekends.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome outside only, at the tables on the Angelo Street footpath. The team is known for greeting visiting dogs warmly and treats turn up from time to time, though it is not guaranteed, so do not rely on it for a fussy eater. With an open kitchen inside, indoor seating stays human-only, and the footpath tables go quickly at weekend brunch.

Worth knowing

The coffee runs on Five Senses beans, and the menu covers açai bowls, chia puddings, smashed avocado, toasties and gluten-free options, with salad bowls for lunch. It opens from 6am on weekdays and 6:30am on weekends, closing around 1pm daily, which makes it a breakfast-and-morning venue. Weekday mornings are the calm window; weekends are busy and the small footprint fills fast.

Getting there and parking

Free street parking runs along Angelo Street and the side streets, but it fills fast on weekend mornings, so arrive early or be ready to circle. The cafe's position mid-strip makes it an easy add-on to a river loop rather than a destination drive on its own. The Swan River foreshore is a short walk downhill, and the South Perth Foreshore walk is the natural pairing before or after coffee. Split on Angelo is a few doors down for a second option on the same strip, and Civic Heart covers the sit-down end of the day.
