Bloom on Kellett Street blurs the line between neighbourhood cafe and Italian wine bar, which is exactly why it works for a long session. The kitchen runs an aperitivo menu alongside a bacon and egg roll strong enough to be a destination in its own right, and dishes like the pear and gorgonzola point to a kitchen that takes the non-breakfast hours seriously. The vibe

Well behaved leashed dogs are welcome inside and outside, as reported on the venue's Google listing and in reviews, which puts Bloom among the more flexible Potts Point rooms for a wet or cold morning when the footpath is not the answer. Hours take some planning: the room is closed Monday and Tuesday, opens 11am Wednesday to Friday, runs from 8am on Saturdays and 8am to 3pm on Sundays. An 8am Saturday table with the dog is the sweet spot before the weekend crowd builds.

Kellett Street sits in the residential pocket between Macleay Street and Darlinghurst Road, so the walk in passes terrace houses rather than traffic. The late trading is the differentiator: few dog friendly spots nearby let you settle in for an aperitivo at dusk with a dog at your feet, and Bloom does it Wednesday through Saturday until 10pm.

For morning mornings, Melted Monster cafe and RayRay Cafe both hold outdoor tables nearby, and Embarkation Park is the nearest green for a proper walk.
