Little Miss Violet

Little Miss Violet is Point Cook's brunch destination at Shop 9, 48 Windorah Drive, pulling a 4.8 rating across hundreds of reviews for its latte art, matcha lattes and Korean-leaning brunch plates. It is one of the more genuinely dog-friendly cafes in Melbourne's west: dogs are welcome at the outdoor seating and the kitchen runs a dedicated doggie menu, so the dog eats here too.

The dog setup

Dogs settle in at the outdoor tables, on lead, with water on hand and a doggie menu covering puppicinos, dog toasties and the house dog cupcakes that get photographed as often as the human food. This is a proper dog-outing venue rather than a dog-tolerating one, and weekend mornings fill with families and their animals, so book ahead or come early for a table with room.

The vibe and the menu

The human menu is equally considered: the chilli scrambled egg croissant regulars order on repeat, big breakfasts, smashed avo, Korean deep-fried sweet chilli chicken and galbi plates, plus delicate matcha and specialty coffee. Hours are 7:30am to 3pm Tuesday to Friday and 8am to 3pm weekends, closed Mondays. Expect a wait at peak brunch time; the trade-off is that the staff handle dogs confidently.

Getting there and parking

Windorah Drive runs through the Point Cook residential pocket near the town centre, with parking at the shops. For the dog leg of the morning, the fenced run at Saltwater Reserve and the off-lead space at The Strand both sit within a few minutes' drive, and Bean Smuggler on Sneydes Road is the other local cafe that welcomes dogs outdoors.
