Coomera Watersports cafe

Coomera Watersports cafe is a relaxed lakeside cafe inside the Coomera and District Watersports Complex on Oxenford Lake, sitting right beside the Damian Leeding Memorial Park dog park. It works as a post-walk pit stop as much as a cafe: dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables, and the lake view does the rest.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the spacious outdoor seating overlooking the lake, with plenty of room on the surrounding grass and paved areas for a dog to stretch out. Staff are used to four-legged visitors and will usually put water out, though bringing your own bowl is the safe play. There is no indoor option for dogs, so it is an outdoors venue in every sense.

Worth knowing

Reviewers come back for the lake views, solid coffee, smoothies, toasties, banana bread and the bacon and egg burger. This is a casual pit-stop cafe rather than a sit-down restaurant, and it is at its best in the mornings. Hours run 5:30am to 1pm every day, which makes it an early-walk-then-breakfast venue by design.

Getting there and parking

The complex sits at 33 Watersports Lane off the Old Pacific Highway at Oxenford, an easy run from the M1, with free parking along the lane and in the car park. Once parked, the cafe, the dog park and the flat walking track around the lake are all on foot.

Make a day of it

Everything you need is within a few hundred metres: run the dog at the fenced Damian Leeding Memorial Park dog park, do a loop of the lake, then settle at an outdoor table.
