Two Doors Down Ocean Grove

Two Doors Down is the community-minded cafe at 4/41 Smithton Grove, Ocean Grove, an earthy, plant-filled indoor jungle of a room that works as a coffee-and-cacao counter by day and a wine bar by night. It is a one-minute walk from Kingston Park, sits in the middle of town, and trades with the neighbourhood in mind: 6:30am to 2pm Monday to Saturday, Friday nights from 4pm until late, and Sunday mornings 9am to 12:30pm.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables, and the staff are friendly towards four-legged regulars. The greenery-filled interior is lovely, but treat indoor access as a case-by-case thing depending on how busy the room is, and ask on arrival. Bring your own water bowl to be safe, since the setup is compact rather than sprawling.

The daytime menu leans local produce: bacon and egg rolls, breakfast burritos, nourish bowls, smoothies and a proper chai, all served with the warm, everyone-knows-everyone feel locals praise. Saturday nights are the other story: the cafe morphs into an events space with flame-grilled burgers, cocktails, live music and community jams. Hours shift around those events, so check their socials before making a special trip. Sunday morning is the quiet visit; Friday night is the fun one, best left to easygoing dogs who love a crowd.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits on Smithton Grove in central Ocean Grove, with street parking along the strip and surrounding blocks. It is an easy walk from the town centre and an even easier detour off the beach run.

Close by with the dogs

Kingston Park is a one-minute walk for a green stretch either side of coffee, and the main beach with its dog-friendly zones is a short drive or longer walk away.
