Dawn Cafe sits on Ocean Throughway in Ocean Grove, directly across the road from the beach. It is a well-rated, dog-friendly coastal cafe with shaded outdoor seating out front, which makes it a natural stop either side of a beach walk.

Getting there. Street parking is available nearby, but the area gets busy in summer and on weekends given how close it is to the water, so arrive early.

Nearby with the dogs. The beach is right across the road; check the posted signs for seasonal off-leash times before letting your dog off. The Ocean Grove Nature Reserve is a short drive for an on-leash bushwalk.
