Juliette's

Juliette's is a busy gelato and coffee spot on the waterfront at 75-77 The Strand, North Ward, and it is built for exactly the moment you want it: a cone or a coffee partway through a Strand walk, with the ocean right there. For dogs, it is a quick outdoor stop rather than a sit-down meal.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome at the front al fresco tables next to the footpath. Indoors is generally people only. Seating is informal, so it suits holding a leashed dog beside you while you eat. Water bowls turn up sometimes, but pack your own so you are not relying on it.

Good to know. The draw is the gelato range, with crepes and a full cafe menu alongside. It gets genuinely busy on weekends and warm evenings, which is worth planning around if your dog is not a fan of crowds.

Getting there. Street parking along The Strand is the obvious option but fills quickly. The streets one block back are usually easier, or arrive earlier in the day.

Nearby with the dogs. You are directly on the Strand promenade, so a walk either side is easy. On-leash beach stretches run along the foreshore nearby; check the council signage for the specific zone you are in.
