BaseCamp is a specialty coffee cafe at 10/4 Cook Street, North Lakes, in the Cook Street industrial pocket. It is a morning-and-brunch spot (open seven days, roughly 6am to 12:30pm) and is explicitly pet-friendly, so dogs are part of the regular crowd.

Getting there. Plenty of free parking directly out front in the industrial complex, which makes it an easy car stop. The quiet industrial footpaths nearby suit a short leg-stretch.

Nearby with the dogs. Woodside Sports Ground, which holds the fully fenced Gardenia Dog Park, is a few minutes away for an off-leash run before or after coffee.

It closes around lunchtime, so make it a breakfast or mid-morning visit. Good for a coffee on the way to or from the Gardenia fenced park.
