Curious Cow Coffee Stand

Curious Cow Coffee Stand is a coffee and pastry trailer that sets up on the grounds of North Beach Primary School at 75 North Beach Road in North Beach, trading weekends from 7am to 2pm. It is a no-fuss stop: order at the window, take your coffee and a danish, and wait with your dog in the open space around the car park.

The dog setup

The trailer sits near the school's rear kiss-and-drive undercover car park area, and dogs stay outdoors with you on lead while you wait and collect. There is no seating section as such, just the paved and grassy margins around the car park, with shade from nearby trees. As a pop-up it has no water bowls or dog treats on hand, so pack a collapsible bowl and keep your dog clear of the queue at the serving window.

Worth knowing

The cabinet leans on baked goods: fruit danishes in cherry, blueberry and raspberry, a tomato, pesto and feta danish, cinnamon twists, escargot raisin scrolls, pain au chocolat, and ham and cheese croissants, alongside coffee and hot chocolate. Hours are Saturday and Sunday, 7am to 2pm, with weekdays closed apart from private or charity bookings, so it is a weekend-only stop. The trailer posts updates on its Facebook page, which is worth a check before a special trip in case of a location change.

Getting there and parking

There is a free car park on-site plus easy street parking nearby, and the school sits a short hop from West Coast Drive, so combining it with a coastal walk is straightforward.
