Narre Eats Street Food

Narre Eats Street Food is an open-air food truck park at 23 Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road, running evenings from around 5pm until late. With a rotating cluster of trucks doing Turkish grill, kebabs, loaded spuds and desserts, and no indoor section to worry about, it is one of the easier dinner outings in the south-east with a dog in tow.

The dog setup

Seating is outdoor at shared tables near the trucks, so the whole venue works as an alfresco space and well-behaved dogs on lead are welcome. It is self-service and casual, so bring your own water bowl. Keep your dog clear of the ordering counters and the truck service windows, where food-safety rules apply.

Worth knowing

The site sits right on a main road and is not fenced, so keep the lead short and clipped to you the whole time. The crowd is lively and family-heavy, with a fair bit of noise and food on the ground near the trucks, which suits a settled dog far better than a nervous one. Max: pick a table away from the entry and away from the truck lines, mind dropped skewers and hot oil, and keep the lead on your wrist. Then it is an easy night out.

Getting there

There is a free on-site car park, with easy access off the Princes Highway and the M1. Go early in the evening before the dinner rush builds if your dog dislikes crowds.
