Project One Cafe

Project One is a busy specialty-coffee cafe on Pittwater Road at Narrabeen, with footpath seating where dogs are welcome. It is an easy pit stop on a beach or lagoon walk if you want a strong coffee and a banh mi.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables on the footpath frontage, not inside. The frontage is partially shaded, which helps on warmer mornings. Staff are dog-friendly and water bowls are often out, but pack your own bowl to be sure.

Good to know. Open early, from around 5:30am on weekdays and 6am on weekends, through to early-to-mid afternoon. Known for coffee on Veneziano beans and for its crispy pork banh mi, alongside standard cafe fare and pastries.

Getting there. The cafe fronts the main Pittwater Road, so it is easy to spot but street parking there is busy. Quieter residential streets like Ocean St offer alternatives.

Nearby with the dogs. Narrabeen Beach is a short walk away, and the flat 8.6km Narrabeen Lagoon Trail is close by for a longer on-leash walk. Check council signage for off-leash times and zones before letting your dog off.

Best early on a weekday when the footpath is quiet and there is room for a dog to settle. Good for a quick, high-quality coffee stop mid-walk.
