Sippin Nutrition

Sippin Nutrition is a small, casual cafe at 7 Bank Street in the middle of Molong, a country town on the Mitchell Highway west of Orange. It is built around a health-driven menu of loaded teas, protein smoothies and quick bites rather than a full cooked brunch, which makes it a handy road-trip stop if you are passing through with the dog and want something better than servo coffee.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor seating out the front on the footpath, and that is the arrangement to plan around: keep your dog leashed and settled beside the table. The team has a friendly, small-town manner and accommodates canine visitors well, but bring your own water bowl rather than assuming one will be out front. Because the footpath sits on Molong's main street, a dog who copes with the occasional ute and passing locals will be right at home.

Worth knowing

The drawcard is the nutrition angle: gourmet smoothies made high in protein and relatively light on calories, colourful loaded teas, oat bowls and iced coffee in a long list of flavours. If you were hoping for eggs benedict, this is not that kind of menu, but as a quick, healthy stop it does the job. It runs Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm, Saturdays from 10am to 2pm, and closes Sundays. As with many small-town cafes, it is worth confirming hours on the day if you are detouring specifically.

Getting there and parking

Bank Street is Molong's main strip, just off the Mitchell Highway as it passes through town, so the cafe is an easy pull-in rather than a planned destination. Free street parking sits directly out front and along the street, including angled bays within a few steps of the door.

Close by with the dogs

Molong is a walkable town with wide historic streetscapes, so an on-lead wander either side of your stop is easy. If you are continuing on to Orange and the dog needs a proper run, the Machin Park fenced dog park is fully enclosed.
